Whether you are looking for true relaxation and rural charm or an experience full of local culture and tradition, Villa Pigini is your perfect choice. In true Istrian style, this stunning villa is perched on a hilltop and offers magnificent, never-ending views of the picturesque, rolling countryside. A large stone farmhouse has been tastefully and sensitively restored to retain its original charm and tranquillity. It has been fitted with modern facilities including beautifully appointed bathrooms, wireless internet and underfloor and wall cooling and heating. On the first floor there is a spacious open plan living and dining room with a fully equipped kitchen where you can try out some of the local dishes. Beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and a beautiful fireplace create an inviting, rustic ambience, while the large French doors let in plenty of light during the day and give the impression that the views are never-ending. One of the tastefully decorated bedrooms is also located on the first floor, two on the second floor and the fourth in the attic, along with another living room with satellite TV and a cozy sofa bed that serves as the perfect relaxation corner. The same care and attention has been given to the grounds and garden. The expansive lawns are planted with more than a hundred lavender and rosemary bushes and slope down to the inviting, solar-heated swimming pool, the edge of which simply disappears into a spectacular backdrop offering the ultimate panorama. After a long day touring the surrounding towns and villages, here you can experience the milky pink sunsets with the silhouette of Motovun arching over the magical Mirna Valley.The stunningly beautiful medieval hilltop town of Motovun is known as a heritage town and exudes authentic Istrian charm and history, spiced with spectacular views over hills covered with vineyards, hamlets and farmhouses, as well as over the magical Mirna Valley. Traditional local festivities as well as the renowned international film festival are hosted here, enlivening this small, tranquil place. The number of towns and villages to visit is too long to list; here we are in the heart of central Istria, one of the most beautiful places in Croatia. It is also famous for local Teran and Malvazija grapes, olive oil, homemade cheese, prosciutto, grilled meat and of course truffles, which you can taste in restaurants in the many villages and towns in the region. There are numerous hiking and cycling trails, one of the most beautiful of which is the historic Parenzana - old railroad line, where you can even experience the unique ride on the tourist train along the historic route. Horseback riding, a few rounds of golf or simply enjoying the thermal waters of the nearby spa add to this long list of activities. The main coastal towns of Umag, Novigrad and Porec are easily accessible due to excellent road connections and offer very extensive leisure facilities, good nightlife, bars and restaurants.
